Ján Palguta is dedicated to applied research within the economics of the public sector, especially the reactions of companies to corporate taxation, the effects of public procurement regulation on the conduct of contracting authorities and the effects of electoral competition on public budgets. He has received several prestigious awards and scholarships so far. In the SYRI project, he researches tax instruments designed to bridge crisis periods and examines the influence of trust in public institutions on the coordination of society during crises. Ján Palguta currently works partially at Masaryk University and CUNEF University.
