The aim of the education system is to maximise the potential of all students. There are strong educational inequalities in the Czech Republic that hinder the achievement of this goal. At SYRI, we analyse how educational inequalities and their negative impacts can be reduced, both in normal and crisis situations (such as the Covid-19 pandemic with the forced transition of schools to remote learning). We explore support mechanisms effective in relation to various student groups, evaluating possible interventions.
