Socioeconomic inequalities
From a sociological point of view, Jan Vávra deals with various aspects of the relationship between society and the environment. He works in the Department of Local and Regional Studies of the Institute of Sociology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and lectures externally at the Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem. In his research work, he mainly focuses on food consumption, non-market production and regional sustainable development in general. As part of the SYRI project, it will investigate the relationships between food consumption and cultivation, health and socio-economic and spatial inequalities.
