Healthcare system efficiency
Andrea Pokorná is head of the Institute of Health Sciences of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University and vice-dean for non-medical study programs and information technologies. She deals with issues of continuous support of the quality of provided health services, issues of protection and support of the health of professional caregivers and patients, possibilities of introducing information technologies into the health sector. She focuses mainly on the identification of risks in the provision of care, and is the founder of the Adverse Event Reporting System at the national level. She is a member of several working groups at the MZČR. In 2022, she was elected president of the European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel (EPUAP) for the period 2023-2025. At SYRI, he will address research tasks focused on professional caregivers and factors affecting the retention and turnover of health workers in the department as a societal problem.
