The National Institute for Cancer Research (NÚVR) brings together key Czech institutions involved in cancer research. Similar to SYRI, NÚVR was established in 2022 with the aim of connecting experts in this field into a single functional unit.
Collaboration: The Czech population is aging, which will lead to an increase in the burden on the Czech healthcare system in the coming years. This also applies to the incidence of cancer to a large extent. We can counter this by strengthening preventive programs. However, certain groups of the population still avoid these examinations, why this is the case and what can be done about it, was highlighted by a joint seminar by SYRI and NÚVR.
